Akkadian Labs had a small AWS footprint, but big ambitions to move their entire data center into AWS. The challenge was that their internal team lacked the bandwidth and experience to deliver the migration, so they anticipated starting this migration over a year out.
cloudEQ was introduced by Akkadian’s AWS Account Executive to perform a 100% funded Well-Architected Framework Review. While the goal was to help optimize their existing AWS environment, cloudEQ used the opportunity to accelerate Akkadian’s migration by implementing an AWS Landing Zone. It contained the right account structure, governance, security, compliance, cost controls, and architecture, providing a solid foundation onto which they could migrate and scale.
When the Landing Zone was complete, cloudEQ walked Akkadian through what the rest of their migration could look like. cloudEQ also applied and was approved for $230,000 of AWS Migration Acceleration Program funding to pay for their services in driving this migration. Realizing that this project was now very feasible, Akkadian decided to move forward and ended up completing their migration 11 months ahead of schedule.
As part of the work, cloudEQ built a fully automated DevOps pipeline enabling Akkadian to develop and innovate faster. cloudEQ also integrated key security and compliance features from Trend Micro Vision One into the Landing Zone and across the entire software development lifecycle. Akkadian’s Trend Micro purchase was simplified by transacting through an AWS Marketplace private offer.
